Tips on Using Velcro at Home
Sometimes we try to use complicated solutions to make our lives simpler. But even very fundamental and simple things can sometimes make a big difference. In this article we will talk about how Velcro can be used for a variety of different purposes. Velcro straps are fairly common and can be easily found in almost every home. We will list some simple tricks that you can use to make your life easier.
Protect your wallet:
Some of us have a habit of carrying a purse or a wallet. And usually when we carry our wallet, we tend to put everything in it- that includes cash, credit cards and driving license. And every time we lose our wallet we find ourselves in deep trouble. Well with this simple hack you can save yourself from such a situation. Simply take a Velcro strap (hook part) and paste about an inch of it on your wallet. Now take the loop part and sew it on the inside your pocket. Now whenever you will put your wallet in your pocket, the Velcro strap will make sure that it doesn’t go anywhere.Velcro
Use Velcro to hang pictures on the wall:
Do you think that no matter how much you adjust your paintings on the wall, they always appear a bit tilted on one side? Here is the solution – simply take the loop part from a Velcro strap and cut it into four pieces. Paste these four pieces on the wall according to the dimensions of the photo frame. Now take the hook part and cut it in to 4 pieces. Paste these 4 pieces on the 4 corners of your photo frame and your painting is ready to be hanged on the wall.
Use Velcro to keep the table cloth in place:
We always adjust the table cloth a lot of times before having dinner. Having the table cloth in place becomes really important when you are having dinner with your guests. But even the slightest of the activities can make it slip. You can use Velcro to keep it in place. Just paste the hook part on the edges of the table and the loop part on the table cloth. Now you can be sure that your table cloth will stay in place no matter what.
Use Velcro in your jacket instead of a zip:
We all know that zip chains are really unreliable. Sometime it becomes impossible to close zips when they get damaged. You can replace the zip chain in your jacket with a long Velcro strap. Actually you can use Velcro instead of zip chains almost everywhere.
Use Velcro for packing:
When we move to a new place, we usually put everything in boxes and close them with duct tapes. But when we open the boxes by removing the duct tape, they often get damaged and this leaves the box useless for future use. You can use Velcro instead of duct tape. Using Velcro will give you more or less the same seal that a duct tape provides plus you boxes won’t get damaged when you open them.
